Fat Daddy's Sound Shack is an all ages live music venue. Music lovers of all ages are welcome to come enjoy live local, regional and national talent at FDSS! All Ages All The Time!

Fat Daddy’s Sound Shack is an BYOB venue.

We allow our music fans 21+ to bring their own beer, wine or alcohol for personal consumption.

BYOB POLICIES:

  • NO GLASS BEER BOTTLES/No cups/setups or non-alcoholic drinks may be brought in.
  • There is a fee of $3.00 per 6-pack or less of beer or bottle of wine that is brought in.
  • There is a $5.00 fee for a case of beer. There is a $5.00 fee per bottle of Liquor.
  • Coolers/large containers may be brought in for a fee of $5.00.
  • There is a $25 fee for Kegs. Customer supplies cups, ice, tab. YOU CAN NOT SELL CUPS OR CONTENTS!
  • We will have available: ice sold by the cup or bucket, soft drinks/energy drinks and cups for your mixed drinks.
  • Open containers may not go outside.
  • Over 21 must have wristband stating over 21.
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL. Do not provide minors with alcohol and do not leave alcohol unattended.
  • Be responsible.

Parents please read the following about BYOB.

We offer a safe environment for All Ages. Chuck E. Cheese, Texas Ranger games, Dallas Cowboy games, Dallas Stars games, The Texas State Fair, Nokia Live Concerts, American Airlines Concerts, Warped Tour, Edgefest, The Door Dallas/Prophet Bar, House of Blues, Chili’s/other restaurants and so on can safely have alcohol without underage children drinking consuming, then it would be easy for us to maintain our HIGH STANDARDS and ETHICS. We do everything we can to prevent underage children from gaining access to alcohol. Underage consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated.

Fat Daddy's Sound Shack is available for special events, parties,concerts and band rehearsal with live PA and sound engineer. Recording your session is possible! Fat Daddy's is an excellent place for music instructors to conduct lessons too! Fat Daddy's is available by the hour or by the day. Reasonable rates and friendly staff make FDSS a great place to be!

Sunday - Thursday ONLY $325 for a 5 hour block of time, 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM

The venue rental rate includes*:

  • Live Sound Engineer

  • Promotion on our website
  • There are no additional hidden charges or requirements
  • There is absolutely no smoking in the building

Fat Daddy's is now Dad's!

Because some Rich A-Holes decided that they would steal our name, "Fat Daddy's", that we have been using since Sept. 2004. Since it would cost us too much money to fight this in the court system. We have decided to change our name. Our new name is "Dad's". Our new website address is www.dadsvenue.com, our new twitter is twitter.com/dadsvenue our Facebook is facebook.com/dadsvenue. FYI, since we have been "Fat Daddy's" since Sept. 2004, it will take a long time for the name change to be complete.

Kick Ass Recording Studio in Dallas available for lease. In the same center with Fat Daddy's, imagine the bands you could get from Fat Daddy's. Former Nexxus Media Studios.

The Nexxus Media Studios is a state of the art media production & recording facility, with 2 recording suites, 1 mastering suite, and 1 post production video suite. The two recording suites are both equipped with acoustic recording rooms, that can accomodate bands, choirs, vocalists, and m.c.s. The post production video suite is equipped with a whisper room isolation booth for voice over and audio dubbing work.

The over 2,500 sq. ft. space is already built out, with sound proof insulation in the canvas walls. All it needs is a little touch up paint/cleaning, and your equipment.
